Since I'm going into AP art next school year and I want to use some of the artwork I made this year, I won't be posting any of my recent major works.
I know it sucks, but I don't want to get invalidated for plagiarism even though I was the one to post it.
However, I will post artworks that I probably won't use for Ap next year, so you guys will get to see at least some of my works from this year.
~~~~edit:
I'm also working on a Koujaku shimeji since I got clip studio paint recently, so look forward to that as well
Abandoning Deviantart
please follow me elsewhere, i'm mostly active on tumblr and isntagram: https://linktr.ee/devilgrey after deviantart decided to pull the dreamup ai art generator stunt and use the userbases art to feed it without permission, i've decided to discontinue posting here. This betrayal of the community here, has broken my trust in this company. not sure if i'll delete my submissions or leave them up. regardless of what i decide, there wont be any new artwork posted. To be clear, i wont be deactivating this account. i follow webcomics and other artists from years ago that are no longer active which i don't want to lose connections too. So, this account will remain open but it'll be inactive.
not leaving deviantart
i really don't think layout changes are enough to make me leave deviantart. I really dont think its a bad change, i still find it relatively easy to navigate. Also, to jump ship whenever a site changes, artists will never have a consistent hub. My biggest problem with the new update is i cant edit comments on my profile, and that if i want to change my bio all the pixel things get messed up. but that's all i found so far. But I'll just have to adjust to the new changes. Honestly sometimes just making my own website seems like it'd be much easier.
Changes to social media usage
I’ve decided that I’m going to change my approach to social media. Recently I realized the social media game honestly isn’t that important. Especially if it’s not giving you financial or some other benefit that isn’t just followers or likes. Those last 2 things ultimately are just a number.
I’m not quiting, I’m just going to utilize my social media as a online portfolio that I update when I have the time. Taking photos of my work, editing it then posting takes a lot of time. And when I’m busy with more important things that actually matter, I always put off posting. Because it doesn’t eff
sudomemo, metrocon and logo news.
so i finally made a logo for watermarking my art, and it sure has sped up the process. making posting art online a hell alot more efficient. eventually i may go back and re-watermark my more polished and favorite works so i can post them to instagram and update the pics everywhere else.
recently ive made so new flipnotes that ive posted onto my sudomemo.
what i drew: hazuki (lynch), takeru (sug), self portrait, some ocs, and main characters from xxxholic.if you like any of those plz go check me out, also add me on sudomemo if you havent already.
Lastly: Metrocon!!!
this year i've been working on 3 cosplays, and have been able to pull it off
Well, you could always post the works after you present them to your course...
Plus I doubt they'd accuse you of plagiarism: if it's traditional, people can tell whether it's a print or not and if it's digital, just bring them the work file or the make screens of the steps =V
In the course I'm in, I even use the works I have here to get part of my credits, the only things I don't post here would be the ones I use for contests outside of deviantART -at least until I get the results-
